Not all fertilizers are created equal! Ever notice that there’s those 3 numbers on the bag of fertilizer you bought at Canadian Tire? Typically it looks like this: 30-0-0. Those three numbers have meaning. Here’s the breakdown:

  • The first number is Nitrogen (N), which promotes overall grass shoot growth (the grass you see).
  • The second number is available Phosphate (P₂O₅), which promotes strong root growth (the grass you don’t see).
  • The third number is soluble Potash (K₂O), which helps grass withstand stress, drought or disease.

Green Eden uses different fertilizer blends for spring, summer and fall applications, specially formulated for optimal turf development.
